About Me, Them, & This
I always dream up the perfect bio in my head, then the words get stuck there. I’m a Southern Belle with Northern attitude that I hide behind my laid back Florida persona. I consider myself snarky and sweet. Yet, I should tell you the majority of the snarkiness stays in my head because I’m all empathetic to people’s feelings and I don’t like to ruffle feathers and what not.* I love to read, I mean, love love. Like, not like normal people. I’m not embarrassed to admit my love for all things vampire. I love to cook and bake and do needle point. I’m a regular little Suzie Homemaker! I don’t like cleaning, but I do it every day because…Oh, right! Because I adore Flylady and she tells me to! Or something to that effect. I am passionate about a lot of causes. I can’t help it! But I am most passionate about the causes close to my heart. First and foremost is raising awareness about Early Onset Bipolar Disorder. My 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with EOBD 5 years ago. It’s been one helluva and I want to tell you all about it! I also feel very strongly about bullying. Has anyone’s life not been touched by this in some way, shape, or form?
What am I forgetting? Oh, right! The LeFam! Drum roll, please…
This is the guy who hit the jack pot!
We’ve been together for over 14 years (it feels like both more and less, ya know?). We met when I was 16 and he was 29 (collective gasp, I know). He’s quite handy to have around (this man can fix anything) and he makes cars look gorgeous. He’s not so bad himself.
I don’t think anyone has made me laugh as hard and as often as he has. I mean, choking, tears, and snorting, people. (Just to clarify; that was snorting {dramatic pause} people. Not like inhaling people, that would just be odd.)
Moving on…I became a Momma at 17, 19, and 21. I was a breast-feeding, co-sleeping, baby toting, attachment parenting mom before I even knew it was something “to be”. I was just parenting in a way that came naturally to me. 13, 11, and 9.5 years later and I ended up with these…..
I started this blog because I love to write and 140 characters just wasn’t cuttin’ it. Then I began to build and connect with this amazing online community. Now? I kinda wanna change the world. 500 words at a time..

Why, thank you, thank you and thank you again, sweet lady!

Thank you! I can’t lie, I am so over top proud of my oldest! He started out really struggling and hating school, somewhere along the line (about 3/4th grade) he turned it around.
You have some really cute kids. (=
Thank you!
I love your writing style.

Hi, I found your blog via a comment you left on Nisha’s blog. I’m dealing with schizophrenia in my family, so I can relate to some of your experiences. Look forward to more reading…
